1.. Dashain (Dasera)/ Nawaratri
-Dashain(Dasera) and Nawaratri are one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Hindu community. It is mainly celebrated in the south asian counties like India and Nepak and many more. Nawaratri are the first 9 days in which nine forms of goddess Mahadurga is worshipped which are known as Nava Durga or Nava Durga Bhawani. In the first day,goddess Shailputri is worshipped. In the second day, goddess brahmacharidi is worshipped. In the third day, goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped. In the fourth day, goddess kushmanda is worshipped. In the fifth day, goddess Skandamata is worshipped. In the sixth day, goddess Katyayani is worshipped. In the seventh day, goddess Kalaratri is worshipped. In the eight day, Mahagauri is worshipped. In the ninth day, goddess Sidhidatri is worshipped. These rupas of goddess Durga is called Nava Durga. Tenth day is also very important. It is believed that in this day lord shree ramchandra kill the demon ravad. It is celebrated to celebrate the win of good over evil. The whole festival is celebrated for 15 days.

2.Tihar (Diwali/ Dipawali)
-Tihar is one of the biggest hindu festivals celebrated in the hindu community. It is mainly celebrated in the south asian counties like India and Nepak and many more. It is mainly celebrated for 5 days. In the First day kaag tihar lies in which worshipping of crows is done. In the second day, kukur tihar lies in which worshipping is done. In the third day, gai tihar and Laxmi puja lies in which worshipping of cows and worshipping of goddess of wealth mahalaxmi. In the fourth day, govardhan puja lies in which wordhipping of oxen is done which is very helpful for agriculture. In the fifth day, bhai tika lies in which brother sister worshipp each other and pray for each other happy life. There are many stories related to the tihar which mainly includes returning of shree ram, mata sita and laxman with hanuman back to ayodhya after 14 years of banbas, another story includes returning of pandavs with their wife droupadi after 12 years of banbas and one year of aagyat bas, and another story regarding the pure and strong brother sister bond of Dharmraj Yama and his sister Yami or Yamuna: this story is related to the daitya raj bali. In this festival various entertaining cultural things are done like playing deusi bhailo, making different types of rotis, etc

3. Holi (Fagu purdima)
After Maghesankranti, the main festival come is Holi. Holi is a festival of colours. Holi is generally celebrated for 2 days. In this festival, people play in colours in order to celebrate the win of good over evils. The story behind the origin of holi is that there is a demon named Hiranyankashyap which is very evil but his son named Prahlad is a very big devote of vagwan mahavishnu. So the demon create a plan to kill his son prahlad, he order a demon named holika which has a boon that she didn’t get buried by fire, so holika took prahlad with her and sit in fire, despite of the boon she started to get buried and the Prahlad didn’t get any harm. This is called mahavishnu leela. So in the happiness of the victory of good over evil and in the ocassion of holika dahan, Holi is celebrated.
